Long time coming...

This may be one of my most favorite moments in time. My girls, together, enjoying each other's company and love. I especially love the way Momma is tenderly touching baby girl's hand. But the best part is how she is looking at her sweet baby girl and how the toddler is looking at the camera. I love the light, the airy feel and of course the sunshine yellow hues.

Wait! There's more!

Moments Whispered Photography by Sherry Pratt

It's been months...but not without shooting images. I am really following a dream I have had for years! I am starting my photography business! I have been using and perfecting my skills using my 24mm-70mm lens skills with natural light. I am having a blast and will soon be official. I have 6 newborn photo sessions under my belt and will soon have more. It is exciting, terrifying and so beautifully thrilling all at the same time. I LOVE celebrating new life! And, sharing beautiful images with first time parents is such a joy!

Alaska - Photography Opportunity Fulfilled

Our trip to Alaska was priceless. We saw so many wonderful things and relaxed aboard the Ruby Princess while at sea. If ever there was opportunity for wildlife photography, this was it! Bears, Eagles, Whales...we saw it all!

Summer

I took a few opportunities to shoot during the summer months around my busy schedule. Working at Camp Wawona in Yosemite National Park has it's perks for sure. Great places to take some pictures and practice my skills. I wish that I had more time to shoot, but I am thankful for the times that I can. Here are a few pictures from our summer 2016.

Shooting in the Woods

This photo shoot was a huge challenge. My dear hubby lovingly gifted me with a Nikon 300mm 2.8 lens. Wow, I am blown away by the perfect bokeh! I want to get out and shoot birds and try my hand at some landscape shots. I have to be patient, because this baby is huge! Learning to keep the shake down is a new skill. The techniques are not yet ingrained in my brain. My goal? Practice, practice, practice!!

Mid Range Beauty

So today, I went for a stroll near the river. It was a crisp morning with icy patches on the granite rocks. Clambering on rocks near the river required both hands. The Kick made it possible. I love my Black Rapid Kick! Once down by the river, I found that the sun was already too high for any good light, but I just had to try out my new mid-range beauty, the  Nikon 24-70mm lens. Here are a few shots that I grabbed.
